Hope not. We lived in Dallas in the late sixties. The service manager where we bought our Firebird gave a customer a hard time. Wouldn't release his car. Uh-huh. Dude went home, came back, and shot the service manager dead...But that was in the old wild west sixties. Gene Good Lord! lol That dude was serious about his wheels, man. ~C

(Gasp!). Liz just told me that the printer has sent 30 copies of NOT FADE AWAY to Austin for the book launch. Should be there in plenty of time. Now that's a relief. I was thinking that it might not be much of a launch for me *if* there were no copies of NFA there. Gene

I'll be helping to educate those who may not have tried your work Gene, and ensuring they attend the launch and pick up a copy of NFA.

More good stuff to be given away at the book launch of NFA at Austin this next Saturday. Pencil in 2-4 if you are coming to the con. Thanks, Gene

Great book launch, Gene. You sir, are an awesome MC. Seems like both yours and Joe's books sold well, which was great to see.

The book launch was a big success for all who came I think. Mr. William Nolan slipped in for a few moments. I introduced him, but sadly felt compelled to add, the author of LOGAN's RUN for younger fans. I think he helped edit my new short story out in the current copy of Dark Discoveries--"Graffiti Sonata." At the launch there was lots of snacks and actual food, even beer (which kept Gord Rollo jovial and fairly well-behaved). Lots of books raffled off and even some specials for people who stuck around and didn't win anything. We sold a ton of stuff at Bad Moon Books table and Roy actually sold more at the launch. I hope everyone had a good time--I did. Thanks for coming and supporting my passion. Gene

Gene, I sure had a great time at the launch, and convention in general. Makes me anxious to figure out when the next one will be that I'm able to attend.
I sure hope you've picked up some new readers out of the con.

Thank you Leigh. My goodness, make one that I attend, and we'll have a meal and a long chat. Gene

Steve: TODAY you are at the top of my list! Thanks, my man. Bet it makes Roy happy, if Liz is back yet checking the site. Let us know how the book resonates (or not). Gene
