I'm saving up for my Ikea bookcases. Might be a bit shy to post after Chris's photos. Amazing stuff.

I've seen a lot of collections in my day but Chris has the best genre collection in the world. I want to grow up to be Chris!

Damn, Chris, I always love seeing your room. It's just awesome. You guys did such a great job putting it together. I still think that V. Price art might be my favorite.

Finally! Thanks, Leigh. But -- "My collection presentation pales to what Chris and Fran have" -- listen to you! Regular comedian.
I really do like your glass door cases. And always a pleasure seeing your collection.

So, my collection pales to others already posted, but I thought I would share some of it anyway. I am mostly a collector by Author. There are the publishers that I follow and buy a majority of their work, but I like to try to get complete collections of specific Authors. I know all of you have seen my Laymon Collection a little too often , so I thought I would post some pics of my Ed Lee collection. For those who visit his forum too, you will just have to see it again. Here are some Lettered editions. Here are some Chapbooks with a PB edition of Dead Cats Bouncing These are some of my Signed Limited edition Hardcovers. Accept for Deaths of the Cold War Kings. That is a trade. Here is my enclosed shelf with some of my other Lettered Editions in it, but you can see some Lee peeking out including the S/L and Lettered editions of Haunter of the Threshold. Here is a close up of Gast. 1 of 13. Here is the Going Monstering Lettered Edition. Here is the Trolley No. 1852 Lettered Edition Here is a pic of the Lettered edition of Haunter of the Threshold which is the highlight of my entire collection. To truly represent how huge this book is, here is a side by side picture of it next to the Bighead, Overlook edition. Also, here is a signed Manuscript of the Haunter of the Threshold. 1 of 1.

It is kind of funny to scroll up and see the collections posted before mine, but hopefully I will lead the way for others to post theirs. You can't compare your collections to others already posted. That's like taking a years worth of guitar lessons and then comparing yourself to Hendrix. Anyway, who cares if you have seen it 1000 x, here is my Laymon collection. Here is a pic of the Bookcase from far away. The Night in the Lonesome October painting up top is the original one. It is my favorite Laymon of all time and favorite book cover too. Top row is some of the Lettered editions. I am still missing four. Anyone want to help me out? Second row. A majority of them are signed. Third row. Again, most first editions with a large majority of them signed. Fourth row. Some paperbacks, Anthologies and all the fastbacks and all the chapbooks. Also, a lot of the original magazines the short stories were published in. The last row, which I really don't need to include a pic of is some of the foreign editions I started gathering up. I love the covers of some of those. Here are the chapbooks with two of the original Smoker's Blend that Laymon published back in '71. I honestly haven't ever seen another copy besides these. Lastly, here is the Lettered edition of A Writer's Tale and a copy of A Stranger's Arms. Anyway, that is all. The only thing that Laymon has written that I haven't read (that I know of) is his short story called "Finder's Keepers" in a copy of the Besteller magazine. If anyone knows where I can get a copy, let me know.

Great photos from Leigh and Jonah, thanks so much for sharing. As with Chris's collection as well, it's always interesting to see where our libraries match and where they differ. Several times I've seen a book in photos like these and thought, "Ooh, what's that book? I must get one of those".
Speaking of which, Jonah, what is the black book standing next to your lettered Haunter of the Threshold?

Speaking of which, Jonah, what is the black book standing next to your lettered Haunter of the Threshold? That there is a special edition 1 of 1. Long story short, the black book is my wedding album.
