I do like getting jealous at other peoples collections!
I have boxed all my books up apart from some I have kept back for reading as i'm moving (hopefully) in around 3 weeks :0) I'm also getting a new bookcase with glass doors (oh yeah!) when it's all up together I will post a pic.

Yeah, love seeing other peoples' collections. Unfortunately, we're in a similar boat to sweeper. It'll be another six months before I'll be able to post anything.

Does it have to be collections of expensive. limited books? I have a big collection, but they are books I've bought anyway I can, including used paperbacks, ex-library copies, the works...

Your treasure can be what ever you want it to be! I'm no good with computers! Use Photobucket (it's free and a great way to load in photos)

Your collection is anything you want in it. My over-all collection consist of PB's to expensive lettered editions. Then I break it down to collections inside collections.

These are new photos of our library. We've shown it before, but it's changed--though many of our books are still out of any logical order other than groups by author or publisher. I'm always re-shelving. Also, my listing presses and authors is simply a general description--apologies to those I don't mention. Here's are entryway, left and right. The main room (sorry for the poor lighting. The room has only spotlights on the shelves and a desk lamp. I like the dungeon-look.) My desk (featuring Thunderstorm Books, Collecting Darkness by H Casper and Larry Roberts, Tasmaniac Publications, and further right Sideshow Press, and left, two lettered editions from Necessary Evil Press.. Left side of desk. As you can see, I'm a fan of the late Frazetta. Right side. Left wall. Tartarus, Midnight House/Darkside, Ash Tree, Bradbury, Hodgson, Lumley, F. Paul Wilson, China Mieville, Michael Marshal Smith, Lucius Shepard, Robert E. Howard, Karl Edward Wagner, Steven Erickson, George R.R. Martin, Tim Powers, Theodore Sturgeon, Iain M. Banks, Gene Wolfe, etc. (As you can see, not alphabetical.) For those of you who can identify by partial glimpses, you'll see many metal cased lettered editions sitting at the very top. They're not nearly as claustrophobic looking in person, heh. That's our vampire hunting kit in the foreground--my father and stepmother put it together. Right wall. Delirium Books, Bloodletting, Bad Moon Books, Clive Barker, Dan Simmons, Peter Straub, Ray Garton, Richard Laymon, Ramsey Campbell, Ed Lee, Lansdale, McCammon, John Shirley, Stephen Gallagher, etc. And the back Wall. Centipede/Millipede, Charnel House Koontz, King, Joe Hill, Neal Stephenson, Easton Press signed sci fi, EP Patrick O'Brien, and, lastly, a numbered facsimile set of the complete works of Joseph Conrad, bound in blue Nigerian goat leather. Hope you enjoy. Can't wait to see others' collections! I started collecting in the seventies, Conan and Tarzan paperbacks crammed into old apple crates. It's a life-long thing, this love of books. chris & Francesca
