I thought I'd mention that I'm going to one convention this year. Killercon in Las Vegas, which begins August 25th. I go because I like to meet readers or other writers. If you are at Killercon please say hello. I'll have a reading or be on a panel each day, and there is the mass autograph signing Saturday night.

i keep waiting for a con to hit atlanta or orlando, don't think it's ever going to happen tho... Kiillercon was fun last year... just couldn't justify the expense this time around. I'm hoping to hit the WHC in Austin tho.

Well, it looks more likely that I may actually make Austin next year for WHC, so Gene, I hope you're able to work those finances out. A few more things to be sorted out on this end first, but I am more hopeful now than I was two weeks ago.

John: Because I'm out on the West Coast, I'm guessing you will yours in hand a couple of days before I do.
My main concern will be people showing up at Killercon and buying them.
We'll see.

I look forward to seeing you in Austin, Bob. And Context is a good writer/writer convention--they treated my son and m very well two years ago with TASTE OF TENDERLOIN debuted there. Nice people.
But we will miss you at Killercon. I always enjoy seeing your face in the audience at a panel, because your eyes are open and you look awake and interested.
