Putting the finishing touches on a novelette solicited for an anniversary anthology. RIDIN DA DAWG may be decent. We'll see. More when it's finished and accepted. Gene

Kresby: Indirectly it involves Joey Hotsko and The Association taking care of another end of the world problem. But underneath the main plot is a sense of nostalgia for a dying institution that people of our generation share, H--and actually it's still important to inner city poor people across the country. Basis of the title. Integral to the plot, too, not just an add on. Gene

Oh, H, forgot to mention there is a Company case officer in this one that makes a cameo that may be specifically familiar to you. Gene

Two upcoming notices of my stuff appearing soon. The short story "Coyote Gambit" will be in the next Dark Discoveries out end of July. My collection DANCE OF THE BLUE LADY... should be out from Bad Moon Books in time to debut in September at Killercon. Now, let's hope I can make Killercon.

Two other top notch--I think--short stories will be appearing this year. "Transformations at the Inn of the Golden Pheasant" (definitely x-rated) will appear in A DARKE PHANTASTIQUE and "Tight Partners" will appear in another highly anticipate anthology--I'll let the editor announce the TOC first. My first readers think this may be one of my finest short stories. The title is what we called a blood brother in the Vallejo projects. A teaser: "Blood brothers are forever, man."

I'm going to Killercon, not sure about my wingman--in training for a new job. Come to my reading at 4:30 on Friday, and I'll explain about getting some free books . My collection DANCE OF THE BLUE LADY is scheduled to be out then, an affordable trade paperback from Bad Moon Books--all recent stories from the last four or five years, including one of my all time favorites. I'll be helping Chris Marrs promote her novella to be released by Bad Moon Books--talk about how at my reading.
