As many of you have already noticed, we've launched the second chapbook series.
To give people a taste of what they can expect this round, we'll be posting up some art and prose samples from the books.
FIONA AND GRAMS contains a fantastic pair of stories by Gene O'Neill. "Fiona" immediately piqued my interest, and it is a period piece set in the infamous town of Sleepy Hollow right before Ichabod's famous encounter with the Headless Horseman. The second story, "Grams" focuses on two brothers who must confront the past when their beloved--but slightly eccentric--Grams dies. Great piece with a wonderful "vintage" horror flavor.
When approaching the illustrations for these two stories, I decided to use two different styles that would compliment each of these very different tales. Hopefully, I did them justice.

Tom: Actually the first time I've seen the artwork with the exception of the illustration on the tip sheets. I love them all. Hope folks like the stories as well as the arwork. Gene

Gene I'm sure the stories will easily do the great illustrations justice, Gene. I'll always look forward to more of your work, and one day buying you a drink. Hopefully that will be in the US, but heck, I ain't got nothing against you coming and visiting down under again.

I had the pleasure of doing some proofing for this chapbook, and the two stories here are amazing. O'Neill is such a gifted writer he makes it feel effortless and some wonderful atmosphere here, almost fairytale quality to the stories. Highly recommend it to all.

Mark: You are my champion! I would like to get out your way and meet you someday. Not out of the question, either. My wife has a good friend that lives in Charleston--is that close? Gene

Thanks H. Hope to get out your way and meet you someday...but not during the winter, I'm a California sissy now, even though I went to grad school at the U in the Twin Cities. Gene

Gene We're several hours from Charleston, much more inland, but that's much closer than where you are now. I'd love to meet you but would probably geek out on you.
