I'm launching a subscription drive for this fall for Dark Discoveries since I'm going to have to raise the cover price on the print edition starting in 2012.
We haven't yet finalized anything, but there will be some changes for next year (more on a couple other things soon!). The first is I'm moving away from the offset printers in a move to cut costs on printing and shipping, while still keeping the quality everyone has come to expect. With the advances in digital printing, you can now do a magazine that looks just as good as the offset does.
Plain and simple, Dark Discoveries has gotten too expensive to produce without some changes. The price for one will have to increase. As much as I hate to do it, the print version of the magazine will not be able to continue without that happening. We had to raise the price a couple of years ago and I had hoped to avoid that for a while, but it's just not possible. (We will, however, also be launching a fully animated digital version of Dark Discoveries at the start of 2012 and that will be priced lower than the print version).
For those of you that are current or past subscribers, you will be receiving an email or snail mail note with special renewal rate code for 15% off the normal price. If you don't get either, please drop me a line at: darkdiscoveries@msn.com .
And here's the link to the shopping cart to purchase a new or renewal subscription: darkdiscoveries.1freecart.com/
And if you've already got a subscription that will last for a few more issues, please consider picking one up for a friend or as a Christmas Gift. I have special Gift Sub cards I make up that can be sent to the person It's meant for.
So here's your chance to take advantage of the lower prices before it goes up starting next year. As always, I thank you for your support and hope you keep coming back for more!
