Thanks, Bob. Hope you definitely enjoy "BlackTar/Red Alien." Has one of my favorite *named* characters, The Dancing Man. Like King I do think the name of a character is important. I might write him his own story some day--"The Dancing Man."

Totally enjoyed it, Gene. The Dancing Man is an interesting character and I think a backstory on him would prove very interesting.

Been a lurker only for a while. But thought I'd drop in and mention that I've just come back from the US and spent a few days in San Francisco which included a tour that drove down the streets of the Tenderloin district. Even heard two stories behind how it may have gotten its name, too.

Too bad you couldn't make it to SLC, Leigh. It was a good time. Maybe next WHC wherever it will be.

Leigh: You were very close to me--35 miles. You should have called, my friend. Gene

Bob: I'm hoping to make another in the not too distant future. I had a 6 year gap between my first and second...hoping it won't be so long next time! I've already started my travel fund! Gene: I was there right around WHC time so our paths likely would not have been able to cross. But if future travel leads me to SF, you can bet I'll be in touch.

I'll show you around Napa, maybe some stuff in Bay Area you wouldn't normally see--how about jack London's gravesite? Do call, Leigh, ahead of time.

My grandauther will be going to Arcadia -collage- which has a exchange program that she has to do for one year in Bonn. No details yet except that if she goes we have to visit. We'll see.

I checked. North of Melbourne, Bonn VIC...whatever VIC is. VIC is Victoria...the state of which Melbourne is the capital city. So yeah, near me. I guess I need to give myself a lesson in local geography! My friend Google advises that Bonn exists. Looking at the map, maybe a three hour drive from my place so easily doable. Now you've got me excited...keep me in the loop!
