Figured with this one on the horizon, it was time to start teasing it. DOUBLEJACK by Gene O'Neill is a nasty crime novella featuring his Green Hornet and Kato characters. Fan's of Gene's work will find this one a bit "edgier" than most of his fiction, as he puts us in the mind of a despicable serial killer/rapist. Jack is a frightening, depraved villain who brazenly prowls the highways for his female victims and it is up to the two detectives to stop him...
DOUBLEJACK will be available as an affordable trade paperback in August from Sideshow. For the illustrations, I did something a little different and went with a high-contrast "noire" theme. This one features a pair of two-page spreads and a single illo.

Some nifty artwork here.
As Tom mentioned this one is a little more graphic in the sex/violence departments, sometimes viewpoints from the victims. Which I know some folks don't feel is politically correct. But I decided on a Rashomon structure for the tale, and victim POV was necessary. I
hope to have some of these available to sign at Killercon. With Wrath and Ed Lee there, this novella will seem tame.

Great artwork Tom. I was lucky enough to get to do the intro for this one, and I have to say, it's a nasty and violent and highly entertaining story. I think people will dig it.

You can count me in for a copy. I'm a big fan of Sideshow Press, the combination of great artwork and excellent stories. You get more than your money's worth when you buy a book from Sideshow Press. The quality of work is just fantastic ! Gene's story and Tom's artwork, what a great duo. Can't wait to read this one.

Bob: DOUBLEJACK is actually the prequel to the other Green Hornet and Cato books, SHADOW OF THE DARK ANGEL and DEATHFLASH, both published by Bad Moon Books. I'll defer details to Roy/Liz, but the shot answer is, yes, in probably a boxed set.
