Hello, all.
Okay, while filling up my gas tank this morning, it dawned on me just how expensive the cost of living has become. I lurk at a few boards, and I've heard more and more of our past customers state that they have had to curb their book buying habits to afford to eat. It sucks, but it's our new reality. I've also had potential new customers tell me that they would love to buy more of our books, but they just don't have the money for the expensive, fancy limited editions.
This got me to thinking. The summer is coming, and this is the season that book-buying seems to really s-l-o-w d-o-w-n. Over the past few years, Billie and I have amassed a bookshelf full of odds and ends from our many book launches. Although I'm not into the whole "sale" thing, it would be great if we came up with some kind of offer for those looking to score some value reading.
So I thought, although we've never done anything like this before, what if we put together some grab bags. Those who are a bit strapped for cash might find that they can pick up a nice starter pile for their summer reading. Or, someone might be exposed to a great new writer that they would never have sampled before. Even better, maybe some people who have never tried a Sideshow title might become hooked and come back for more.
