Tom/Billie What's this one about? I have tried to look for an excerpt but can't find one.... Jason. Hey Jason!!! This is a GREAT book. I'll grab tom from the attic where he is currently hiding (my mother stopped by) and get him to post up an excerpt shortly. He'll probably put something together for the preorder. I loved this book. I am so excited we're publishing it. Great story. Kurt does quite a marvelous job with character development.

Okay, I'll be releasing the official copy (read: description) and an actual excerpt when we get a little closer to this one going up for pre-order. However, here is tease-alicious run-down.
When a young woman is found with part of her skull removed and electrodes jutting from her exposed brain, it soon becomes apparent that a serial killer is stalking the quiet corner of Connecticut. His victims appear to be random, but behind his grisly M.O. is a cold, calculating, and artistic purpose as the killer seeks to create a symphony of pure human suffering. It's up to a pair of local detectives to uncover this fiend's identity and silence his BRAINPAN CONCERTO.
I'll also include a couple pieces of art for those interested. After discussing the cover with Kurt, we decided a bit of subtlety was in order. The cover painting was inspired by the work of Norman Rockwell and his Saturday Evening Post work.
As for the interiors, I will be going for a crime-noir style with sharp contrast between whites and blacks.
Can't wait for this one, as Kurt has crafted an excellent thriller.

I like the sound of this one! And that black and white illustration is really good! The cover is quite disturbing, that's a bloody kid that! Is a kid doing the killing?

Newton's chapbook "Black Butterflies" just blew me away last year, so I'm definitely interested in anything else the man does.
