This one is going to be a beauty. How many copies are left Tom? This one is going to be worth a fortune down the road ala Brian Keenes The Rising hardcover from Delirium. Lee Thompson is a tremendous talent.

Hey, Jim. I couldn't agree more that Lee is going to be HUGE in this genre. It was one of the main reasons I wanted to make extra sure that this book would be collectible. I figure that a few years down the road EDGES will be giving completists fits as they try to get a copy. There are a handful of copies still available. Printing will begin next week, and at that point, I'll close the pre-orders. We'll be printing to order, so there won't be a bunch left. T This one is going to be a beauty. Hey, Jim...you're not being a pain in the ass at all! In fact, I'm quite mortified by how late this one is. Chris should have the text blocks any day, and then we'll be going full speed ahead on this one. Every once in a while, we have a title that runs into more than its fair share of hiccups...EDGES is our one for this year. T Coming soon I hope? I'm a pain in the ass Tom but I can't help it. When is this coming out? Jassen I'm actually trying to finish the special edition hardcovers now. I had to take an extended break because of Killercon, but I'll be back on it this week. Hopefully I can get a bulk of the work done before the end of the week. I'll keep everybody posted on the progress. ~C |

Any updates? Man it's taking a long time. Yeah, I know. Sometimes it takes a while to do these things by hand. And it's just me, by my lonesome doing the building. Sometimes it goes fast, sometimes it doesn't. This is one of the latter times. But, I'd much rather take the time to do it right than to risk giving the end customer something I'm not proud of. Know what I mean? Sorry about the delay on them. I'm working on them as much as I can. If my day job would stop flipping my schedule around... if it weren't for that, I probably would have had them done already. I thought I had a shot at it this week, but it looks like I'll have to do a marathon this coming week to try and get them done. I'll post some pics when I have something good to show ya'll. :-) Hang tight, though. They'll be ready VERY soon. ~C |

Okay, folks, here's an update and it's a good news bad news message. The good news is, I'm nearly done with this run of books.
The bad news--tonight I ended up in the ER with the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. It's in my back and struck me suddenly, and it was so intense that I nearly passed out. At the ER they thought I had kidney stones, but the CAT scan reveled nothing of the sort. So their next best guess is that I pinched a nerve. So I have to go to a specialist for a MRI to try and figure it out.
I'm on morphine right now along with another pain med and muscle relaxers. If it weren't for those, I wouldn't even be able to type this right now.
So, obviously, this is going to delay me some on this book yet again. If I feel better within the next few days, I may still be able to finish them, but being in as much pain as I am right now, it doesn't look promising.
My apologies to Lee, the customers and to Tom and Billie. I'll update ya'll again when I have any more news.

I hope you feel better Chris but I'm going to have to cancel my order on this. This delay is absurdly long and has really put me off pre-ordering anything from Sideshow or anything else your involved with. I ordered this in April. It shouldnt take over half a year to produce a book with such a limited print run. You stated in September that you hoped to have this finished relatively soon but had to take a break for Killercon. It's almost December.
