Hey, Steve...figured I'd chime in on the production. The material that you're speaking of is a matte finish. When you get a book like this printed, you generally have a choice of gloss or matte. We've used matte for years on publication like BLACK INK HORROR, the first HC chapbook set, and our first two limiteds, DIFFERENT SEASONS and HALF-SICK. I've always liked the feel of it... As for durability, our recent books have been bound in a more scuff-resistant film. Thanks again! Tom I should chime in too. I've received the book, and think that it looks great! The red/blue combo on the spine really stands out, especially with the Sideshow logo at the bottom. The cover material is a bit weird. It feels...weird, I don't recall having any other books that use this material, and I'm not sure if it will show wearmarks easily. In any case, it's a nice production. The remarque was a plus as well As far as the writing....well, I haven't read it yet, but it's towards the top of the TBR pile. Sorry for the delay, been away from the computer for a bit. I have Half Sick, Different Seasons and the BIH6, but this matte feels almost...slippery? Maybe this is the film? No problems with it, it just different than the other covers. It looks great though! I hope to start it this weekend.
