I'd like to know what your favorite limited edition book upgrade is.
For me it's upgraded endpapers. I love opening up a title and seeing a unique endpaper, it just seems to jump start my reading experience.
I look forward to hearing from other collectors.

With so many publishers setting many different standards for a limited edition, I'd first ask the question what is considered a 'normal' limited edition's features? Without setting a baseline, one man's preferred upgrade may be another's expected minimum.
One thing I am not a huge fan of which is probably considered an upgrade, is a ribbon bookmark.

I like really nice stamping on the boards. Something that when you take the jacket off it makes you say wow. Or, if there is no jacket (my preference) just makes you say wow.

For me it's everything about The Corporation by J F Gonzalez. The book is a lovely. The feel of it, the slipcase, endpapers, sig page, stamping etc. I treasure that book.

I also like books that are in keeping with the story. Sideshow Press did an amazing job on The Wild Hunt, really nice looking book that blends with the story.

Great choice bookie! I like your style. To have a artist remarque as an upgrade is awesome. Upgraded signature page is nice or stamping...can't decide. Ribbons I could do without.

Great choice bookie! I like your style. Yeah, I do like this one. A nice stand out signature page is another, already mentioned one, that I like. Something with a bit of a wow factor (and to be fair, many publishers do a pretty good job with this).

I honestly think Sideshow is out doing 90% of the folks out there with all that artwork. I love the artwork.
Larry makes damn beautiful books too. The slipcase on The Corporation easily made it my favorite Limited.

I just started collecting this year but have to agree with Jwar that all of Sideshow's art really makes their books extra special. (and I agree about The Corporation. Holy crap does that look awesome!)

Hi new poster here. I really liked the art around the edge of the pages on both "1200 AM Live" and "The Wild Hunt". Two color printing and unique numbering are both a nice touch, but that art really stood out. Also end papers, they can really make a book.
