As many of you know, we've got quite a bit of Gunnells headed your way soon. Both the WHISONANT/CREATURES OF LIGHT flipbook and the collection TALES FROM THE MIDNIGHT SHIFT VOL. 1 will be out by years end. To get people excited about the upcoming releases, Mark was cool enough to let us publish the original story "Midnight Shift" on the site. Check it out now: sideshowpressonline.com/?p=104 Thanks to all who check it out, T

I don't think I've read a tale of yours I didn't like, Mark, and this is no exception.
Filled with brooding atmosphere, the tension builds until the final moment. Very nice.

Thank you so much Scott, you have my eternal appreciation for your support and encouragment.
A little backstory on the story: for years I worked 3rd shift security (I still work security but on 1st), and when I started everyone was telling me how creepy I was going to find it when I had to work a shutdown all night, all by myself on the property, all the noises I would hear and how unnerving it was. And yet I worked countless shutdowns and never found it remotely creepy. But one night I got to thinking, what would I find creepy working here alone? And I thought, what if I checked all the doors and they were locked, then on my next walk-through discovered all the doors standing wide open? The story was born from there.

I thought it was pretty cool. I love the main character. Just wish I knew what happened after THE END.

Chris, I must admit, I'm a fan of the non-closure ending. Sorry. :-p
