Just got this in the mail today. Open the box and sat down and read it. Enjoyed the story alot. For only being 20 pages long, I thought you did a great job on the story.

I got mine today as well. I was lucky I got to proof this one and it's very powerful. Simple but powerful. Just shows how great a well done short can be.

Thanks so much, guys! THE WAKE was my born from my desire to write a story about what I think is the worst possible place a person could be -- both physically and emotionally -- at the exact moment the "zombie apocalypse" began.

James, what makes the story stand out is that, yes, it's a zombie tale, but it's a zombie tale with real heart and emotional impact, which you don't always get.

Loved it. The only thing that could have improved it is if somebody on this thread would have included "SPOILERS" prior to mentioning Zombies.  |

Sorry - my fault. I normally avoid book reviews, etc (including reading the back cover) - so I should have avoided this thread until I finished the story.
