OK I am about to gush like a 12 year old girl with Bieber fever so just bare with me here. Really, if you have a weak stomach stop reading now.
I discovered Horror Mall about 3 months ago and in the process found Sideshow Press. I ordered a couple of books from them and really enjoyed the stories and loved the production quality. So I ordered some more book and then some more and then they were gone. All evidence of Sideshow Press was gone from the Horror Mall. My heart sank. Checked Sideshows website and there was no way to order from there. My heart broke. I was certain they were going out of business. I called my wife at home...she hung up on me.
I know a grown man should not be heart broken over a book publishing company, but in the short experience I had with Sideshow I was sold on all they had. Great stories, great books and Billie always answered my questions with little notes on the bottom of all the invoices I would receive from them. She knew my name and what number books I had and just seemed to care that I was a customer even though we had never met or spoken to each other and I had only made about 3 orders with them. And besides damn it I really liked their book. So any way I crushed.
Well today I received a letter in the mail and my heart lept. It was from Sideshow Press...OMG OMG OMG. I tore the envelope open and then I froze. What if it was letter telling me thanks for your business but unfortunately the economy has claimed another victim...I didn't want to cry in front of my little girl. So I ready myself and begin to read. Woohoo!!! Still in business and with a brand new website to order more books, sweet. First time I have ever received a letter from a publisher and it is from my favorite publishers (I'm keeping the letter, might have it framed).
So I ran to my computer and find the new website and order a new book, awesomeness. I'm in heaven once again.
Now the icing on this cake. In the letter they mention a forum that they can be found on. I wish I could tell you that I didn't get all bug eyed and gaga when I clicked on here and saw all the Sideshow Press topics on here but the truth is it felt like Christmas morning when I was 8 years old all over again. I read non stop for an hour (Bieber Fever baby).
Well there it is, a grown mans confession to being a Sideshow Press groupie. I told you it was it was going to be sappy. Tom and Billie, Thank You, I'm so glad that I found Sideshow and your books...again.
