Watched The Warriors and Vanishing Point last night. Never get tired of these movies, watch them at least once a year. Along with Assault on Precinct 13, these are some of my favorite cult movies. I thought I read some place that they are doing a remake of The Warriors.

Watched a few movies today. Too hot to go out.
Demon Seed - While it definitely looked and felt like a '70's movie, the message of the film is probably even more relevant today than when the movie was made. I may have to go find the book now.
The Satanic Rites of Dracula - Not as bad as I expected but not life-changing. Still always good to see Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in a film together, though.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake) - As much as I didn't want to, I kind of like this remake. Not as much as I liked the Dawn of the Dead remake but still pretty good. I've seen a lot worse. I like how John Laroquette was available to do the voice-over, especially since he was uncredited in the original.
Heavenly Creatures - I've always liked this movie and I'm glad it was such a strong performance for Melanie Lewinsky (sp?). Plus it made me want to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind again.

Never read the original version of Demon Seed but read the updated version Koontz put out in the 90s and enjoyed the hell out of it. No shame, I also like the TCM remake, I thought it was definitely one of the better done remakes.

When I was a small child, Kingdom of SPiders freaked the fuck out of me. I just rewatched it, forgot it had William Shatner in it. Let's just say...doesn't hold up.

vamp, loved Brick. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the best young actor working today.
Saw the remake of Clash of the Titans. Blah...

About a hour into Survival of the Dead, so far just your average zombie movie. I hope the second disc of extras made it worth buying.

I didn't even know Survival of the Dead was out. I was so let down by Diary of the Dead, I didn't even care to see this one.
