Finished Dark House, okay movie. The acting reminded me of a low buget B movie. Will try to watch Dead Snow tonight. Read good things and bad things about this movie. Nazi zombies, sounds good to me.

The Nightmare on Elm Street remake. Very lame. The characters were uninteresting, the CGI was laughable, including Kreuger's cat-like face, and the new elements they brought in regarding Freddy's past and motivations didn't amount to much for me. I grew up on what I called the "Big 3" franchises, halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street, and they've all now been remade, and I've found all three remakes sucked hard.

Watched afew more episodes of Dexter season one. Will finish watching Iron Man 2 and hopefully Hunger. Dexter is great! Lots of goodness there. I'm current with them (Season 5-ep.2) and they keep up a frenetic amount of twists and turns. You'll really enjoy season 2 (my fave so far).

Dark Night of the Scarecrow. TV horror movie from the very early 80s that I loved as a kid. First time I've seen it in ages. It is definitely dated with some cheesy, ham-handed acting, but still effective.

Monkey Shines. Haven't seen it since I was young and you know...that movie doesn't really make any kind of sense.

It is definitely dated with some cheesy, ham-handed acting, but still effective. I was hoping to pick it up this weekend, but I can't find it *anywhere*. It's on back-order at every local Best Buy I've checked. I really want DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW, dammit. It was a favorite of mine when I was a kid (which is to say, it gave me nightmares and I loved it!). J.N.
