I'm happy to announce that I have sold my zombie novella ASYLUM to The Zombie Feed, which is a branch of Apex Publications. Way too early to give any idea when it may be out, but it should be available as both a trade paperback and an e-book. I'm very excited.

Thanks guys. It's weird, I was just telling a friend about this novella and how I really liked it but just couldn't seem to find a home for it...then I happened across the guidelines for The Zombie Feed and next thing you know, a contract is being drawn up. Feels better than rejection, I can tell you that. ;D

I found out the Zombie Feed imprint is dissolving, but luckily the novel will still see print under Apex.

Just saw this... Congratulations Mark! Is it too early for a brief description of the story?

I often jokingly refer to it as "Night of the Living Dead in a gay club instead of a farmhouse." The tale does take place in a gay club, where a small group of survivors are holed up against the assault of the undead. There are many different types--a naive young man barely out of the closet, a stripper, a drag queen, a war vet, an unstable DJ, and others. While they are trying to survive the zombies outside, they are also trying to survive each other and their own personal demons. In many ways, I feel it acts as a bunch of character studies of these people, with the zombie goodness as gravy. Wow, I suck at writing descriptions, don't I?
