So people, what's your favorite Sideshow Press release? For me, I think it's a tie between Kurt Newton's absolutely beautiful and haunting Black Butterflies and Nicholas Martin's suprisingly and intriguing The Companion.

SECRETS/J F Gonzalez - this novella is one of those "Sleep? Who needs sleep? I need to find out what happens next" kind of stories that I love so much. After reading the story, I now know that the cover and (numerous full page) interior art by Tom Moran TOTALLY fit this story and enhance the reading of it. The detailed signature/limitation (50 copies!?!?!) of this TPB helps set the mood as soon as you open the cover. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but the ticket signature/limitation (60 !?! TPB copies) for SIDESHOW EXHIBITS just blows me away. With novellas by Gene O'Neill, Gord Rollo and Michael McBride based upon Tom Moran's cover art and including story notes . . . . methinks this could be three times the fun of SECRETS. . . . . and I'm totally looking fwd to James A Moore's WILD HUNT. ;D I guess I can't choose just one fave . . . . Dust of the Dead HC and The Companion HC are tied as my two favorites with Secrets coming close behind.

Dust Of The Dead HC, followed very closely by Secrets. A fine looking book that.

I'm also a big fan of Sideshow Exhibits. One, the concept of these different writers taking one piece of art and all creating their own stories from it is killer, and the stories themselves were so much fun.

Right now - off the top of my head 'Raw Meat.' I didn't expect that one! haha Then I pulled out my copy and see you're in it too! It's been a long time since I read it, I forgot you were in that one.

The first story I had published in North America was one I submitted to Wicked Karnival magazine and Tom saw it and decided to put it in WICKED KARNIVAL - HALLOWEEN EDITION 2005. A lot of my books are still packed away, so I wasn't sure if that was SideShow or not. I love that edition too. And the story I have in it is certainly one of my favourites.

I don't have all the SSP books yet but of the ones I have two of them stick out to me. The Companion was the first book I received from SSP and it will always hold a special place for that reason...but...I also really really enjoyed the story. I thought it was great.
The next one I also consider my favorite and that is Sideshow Exhibits. I loved that book. Fisrt the quality of that book is just AWESOME. I use to work in the book binding industry and I LOVE a well designed well made book and that book is just made of awesome. It was also my first introduction to those three writers and I was blown away. All three stories were excellent. I was sad when I reached the last page of each story.

I had to part with my DOTD but I still have Sideshow Exhibits lettered. That is a beauty!
My favorite story is The Reverend's Powder by Erik Williams. The hardcover chap book set is really nice.

Lenny: Your reaction to SIDESHOW EXHIBITS makes my old heart sing. of course it's wonderful when someone appreciates your work (and your friends'); but I think it is especially exciting when that new reader is just discovering your work. Gord Rollo, Mike McBride, and I have a lot of stuff out there, and I hope you get the opportunity to read some of it. Down the road SSP will be publishing two more books by me. thanks for the nice reaction, Gene
