Are there any novels out there that don't get much love but that you think are just terrific?
I have a few, I'll start off with Clive Barker's Coldheart Canyon. It's a book by him that I think gets overlooked and I rarely see any real praise thrown its way, but I think it's one of his best novels. Okay, it doesn't come near the greatness that is Weaveworld, but it's a really intriguing novel with well drawn characters and an unpredictability that is really astounding. I've heard it described as boring before, but I don't see that at all. I was riveting through the whole thing. And just when I thought I knew where it was going, he threw me a curveball.

Again, Rich Chizmar's Midnight Promises is a collection I've had for years and never read until recently. Now, I'm on the lookout for other stuff by Rich! It's not often you hear of Rich's writing, just the publishing end and this collection did cast him in a different light for me.
