Should be getting my copy through the post any day now. Just got my latest box from Shane with Predatory Instinct in. So that's next on the reading list after I've finished Serenity Falls. Yeah, I got my copy of Predatory Instinct last week and I should be getting my copy of Quiet, Keeps to Himself in a couple of weeks! Jason.

Paul did a freaking phenomenal job, didn't he? Stunning production, brilliant layout (thanks, Leigh!), awesome cover...almost makes up for the words inside. Heh. Thanks to those who picked it up! I hope the new stuff meets with your satisfaction. Glad you like it Michael! Down to 7 copies left.

Finished this today. What a great collection. McBride is one of my fav authors and this book does nothing to diminish that, in fact strengthens it. I love story notes and Mike's are articulate, interesting and heartfelt. I also love the White Lightening Series and hope that it can continue. I have always had trouble understanding why people do not buy collections/anthologies. To me they are sources of great fiction that can be read alongside novels because you can read a story here, a story there and not 'disturb' you're train of thought with the novel you are currently reading. I usually have at least 2 collections/anthologies going at a time. It's kind of like picking up a comic book to quickly read in the time available where novels are better read in longer time frames in each sitting. Production values, copy-editing and the fiction itself makes this a great book for me and I highly recommend it.

I'm glad these books are finding their way into the right hands. As I said before, Thunderstorm did an amazing job on this book, from start to finish. It's right up there with the best that NEP and Earthling put out, production-wise. And I'm thrilled that you guys are enjoying the stories so far. I had a blast writing the new ones and putting this thing together as a whole. And the story notes? I had a whole lot of fun with those, too. Kind of nice rehashing the old memories from time to time. ;D
Thanks!

When will the signed manuscript pages from the contest be dealt with? Either when the books sell out or by mid November, whichever comes first.

Thanks, bro. I hope you get it, and one of the manuscript pages, too. I tried to select the most legible pages. They average about 1050 words (front and back). These pages are my first draft. I then type them into my laptop and edit them, before beginning the editing phase in earnest when the story is complete. You'll eventually see what I mean. ;D Got one! It came with my copy of They. Very cool.
