I'm number 56 of the 65. And guess what? That fucking piece of shit of a limited edition book is the NUMBER FUCKING 1 WORST FUCKING DUMB-ASS WASTE OF TIME STORY I HAVE EVER READ.
Seriously I don't understand all the excitement over that book, that story was just stupid. Then throw on top of that I paid $60 dollars for the ABSOLUTE worst signed/limited edition book I have EVER seen in 20 years of collecting. I have never felt so butt fucked in my entire life.
Conclusion - stupid ass story, piece of shit, waste of money, book. The only reason I have kept the book is a reminder to do better research before I spend my money on a book from a publisher or author I don't know.

So I'm taking it you're not a fan then. In certain circles your views could be construed as heretical. In them circles you might have been put in the middle with a stake up your rectum and doused with something flamable and then set afire. Just before you were burned to a cinder, gallons of urine would be poured upon you and you would be left to walk the earth for the rest of your remaining days as a blackened, melted parody of your former self, in a slow agonizing shuffle you would be paraded around as a warning to others that might have such beliefs... S'okay though cause I can't see none of them circles around... just me and if you send me that copy of COWS I'll let it slide and won't say nothing to no one.
In all seriousness though I can see how the story wouldn't be for everyone. Siction is an acquired taste and for some folks it just don't suit their palette. As for me though, you can serve that shit up to me on a rusty fucking jagged edged spoon and I'd shovel it down. Gargle with it, spit it up in the air and catch it again, swallow it down, vomit it back up and just start all over again.
Thanks for dropping by though and making up the numbers...
60 copies of COWS at the mall, 60 copies of COWS, you take one down and what have you got... 59 copies of COWS at the mall

Actually I love the siction. This book just seemed to stupid to me. Talking cows? Really? Now to give credit where credit is due I really liked the parts of story where the girlfriend was involved. I thought that was very well done. Nailing the baby to the wall was an epic scene.

There we go, even though you hated the book, it still had an epic scene in it for you. And if you love the Siction then me and you are gonna get along just fine, for a second there I thought we was gonna have some problems, my hackles got all raised and shit, they gone back down now though, phew.
You're right about the production value of the book though, Akashick ain't the best publishers when it comes to the look of the books, I got my copy of 'The Empty Mile' by Stokoe though and it was deckled... I fucking hate deckling, looks like a fucking rats been at it. See I'd love to have seen what Larry at BLP or Tom Moran would have done with COWS. Gimme some Tom Moran illustrations to go along with a story any day. But still, I still gotta give Akashick props for doing the limited, maybe not the edition I would have dreamed of, but they still got balls for going out and doing it.
