WOO HOO! Got my copies in the mail today and I could not be more happy. I am in love with this book. Not in an egotistical way, not talking about the content--that's for all of you readers to judge--but the actual production of it. Tom and Billie outdid themselves, again, and I think it is one hell of a nice looking product.

Well, I just finished reading these two fine novellas. Man, Mark can write! Creatures of the Light is a fine apocalyptic tale, with unusual monsters, that deals more with everyday characters. A really engaging, hearfelt take on the end-of-the-world. The better of the two tales, IMO, is Whisonant, though. A story about a lonely, chubby girl in college whose roommate ostracizes her continuously. This starts off like a ghost/supernatural tale, then along the way, especially at the end, morphs into a very clever, nasty revenge piece that I didn't see coming. Mark really has an eye for character development that is spot-on. Give this TPB a try; it's well worth the $15, for both content and production values!

Got my copy of this in the mail the other day (and ordered the hard cover as well). Haven't read it yet, but I plan on gettnig to it just as soon as I clear a few must reads tottering up there on the TBR pile.

Finished WHISONANT yesterday...It's an absolutely amazing novella. One of the best I've read by any author. I can't recommend it highly enough!

John: High praise indeed. But I think (as I suspect you do) that Mark Allan Gunnells is making rapid progress as a writer. The cliched writer to watch. Gene
