I just found this place today. Looks interesting. Steve (captainmarrveljunior2 at the defunct Horror Mall forums, c marvel at Shocklines, dr sivana at Horrorworld) A member of the Marvel Family wherever I venture. You sure bring back a lot of memories for me. When I was a kid I read those Captain Marvel comics like they were going out of style. AND watched the tv show. It came on right before Isis. Do you remember the huge comics they used to publish that were about the size of coffee table books?

No, I don't really remenber the huge comics you're talking about. Recently Alex Ross comics like Shazam Power Of Hope, etc, were way oversized. That's one thing that turned me off about those books-the huge size. I won't buy a copy of Absolute Justice because it's the same way-huge. I think the 70's tv show was my intro. to the character now known as Shazam! due to legal issues with the name. I liked both Shazam! and Isis (the tv shows). IMO the shows hold up better than people realize. I think they're not that cornball.
