I would say it went the same way as Bad Moon books, Roy posted a explanation a couple days ago stating why he was leaving. just a guess on my part. There was some sniping going on pointedly directed towards Horror Mall. Perhaps this is partially what upset Roy. I think part of the disappearance of the Bad Moon Books and Bloodletting subboards lies in keeping with / toeing the line of Horror Mall admin if you get my drift and updating their customers directly through their blogs. . . . . . updating their customers directly through their blogs. I don't know about anyone else, but the only time I visit the HM blogs are when I receive the weekly newsletter or there is a link on a Message Board - and only if the book really excites me. Then the blog basically says what I've just read and I have to click a few times to find the price and other info I wanted to know about. lol - your giving this book buying addict too much time to talk himself out of the purchase. ;D I'm at this and other Message Boards to discuss and discover new (to me) authors and books and discuss them with everyone here. I can't get that from a blog. btw - I probably will order two books from Sideshow later today - due to posts on this Board. Tom and Billie - PLEASE don't leave this Board. Jan

JDar, Tom and Billie put out top-notch product and what's more, they are business minded but also have a real PASSION for the stories, so definitely give them a try.

It was probably partially my fault as well. As a customer I feel like I should be able to speak my mind from time to time, but I guess I don't always take others feelings into consideration.

EDIT - I also have the four novellas and the chapbook published by Insidious - so I've been a fan of Tom's (and Chris) for a while now.

Glad to hear it, although I wasn't trying to pimp my own stuff. I'm just honored Tom and Billie are willing to publish my stuff alongside the other fabulous stuff they put out.

A significant percentage of the books I have purchased at The Mall are Sideshow releases. I love the stuff I've gotten from them.

Steve When you have a loose cannon in your ranks it makes it that much harder, especially when things he is saying dont directly involve you but still makes your business look bad. Then again everyone knew about the loose cannon before he came into HM so you cant really be surprised.

You should be able to speak you mind when ever you want. Your opinions are just that and you have a right to say them.

I kind of wish The Horror Mall was still being run by just Larry and Shane like it was initially.

Marquee by John Paul Allen - a fantastic unique presentation of layered art. At least three full panels of art had a clear plastic cover that included add'l art that totally changed the original when placed on top. Obviously, it's not easy to explain - grab a copy if you can find one. If I recall, this book led to Chris hearing voices and having double vision. Jan

I'm sorry that both BMB and Bloodletting decided not to have sub-forums here. I'm hoping they will continue to post here - I value their years of experience.
I mentioned to Roy recently that I was sorry he joined the Horror Mall. I used to enjoy browsing (and usually buying more than I intended due to Liz's enthusiasm) on the user friendly BMB site. Both Roy and Liz made visiting the former BMB site fun. (If you haven't guessed - I don't enjoy the HM layout - it doesn't flow right for browsing, it's hard to find items and S/H makes me throw stuff out of my cart.)
In fact now that I think of it, I used to enjoy buying from Larry at the old Bloodletting site - it had a personal touch that's missing from HM.

I totally agree about going to the HM blogs for info, and the poor navigation of The Horror Mall in general. Love the philosophy and the peeps over there but, I'm feeling less and less "connected" every day with all the stuff going on. And yeah, there really should be a place for everybody to speak their mind freely. This looks like the place, even if certain people don't want to be a part of it for whatever reason. Oh well. Thanks for The Crypt! Much appreciated. I'll stick around and speak my mind.
