Hey all, just thought I'd let anyone interested know that Dark Recesses has now officially re-opened her doors to submissions. DR publishes regularly updated web content as well as a serial PDF magazine format. We are accepting submissions for both. The PDF issues will also be available in a print copy via Amazon.com (next issue - Issue #13 - due for release in October). For full submission details, please check us out at www.darkrecesses.comOh and we've had one hell of a face-lift too! Stop by, check things out, and if you have any questions you can e-mail me directly at baileyhunter@darkrecesses.comThanks! Bailey

Well, I currently still have a story under consideration (fingers crossed, praying to whatever deity is most likely to be favorable to me), but if that one doesn't make it, I'll just throw something else at ya. (Hmm, didn't mean for that to sound like a threat.)

Have you received any response yet, Mark? Just want to make sure it is indeed in the machine.
When was it sent?
Bailey

You should totally reprint that story "Rings". That one kicked ass. Would look sweet in the e-zine. Can't remember the author, though. Heard he was an asshole so blocked him from my memory.

Hey I have a copy of that sitting right here on my desk. That was a kick ass story. Probably why it made it into our first print issue (#9).

On August 3rd I received a notification that it was short listed but could be another 4 or 5 weeks before final decisions were made. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. That story holds a special place in my heart. Not that I'm saying if you don't publish it you're bad people.

I haven't heard anything from you guys in quite some time. Should I consider my submission rejected at this point?

Speaking of Dark Recesses: their website hasn't been updated in months, and they haven't posted anything here longer than that---are they still a viable concern? I've had a tale of mine on their shortlist for over three months--they did say up to four months--but I was just wondering what was going on there. Anybody know? Thanks!

Is DRP affiliated with Cutting Block Press? There are links from CBP to DRP.

Apparently they are doing one final issue and are sending out acceptances or rejections now. I'm really not sure why no one ever responded on the board here.
