I'm happy to see that Chris Hedges has decided to resurrect the writers' board, because I don't waste enough time on Facebook.
Anyway, my werewolf novel THE FRENZY WAY was published as a TPB by Medallion Press in June and has so far received wonderful reviews. Bad Moon Books is publishing a LE of the book, possibly in the fall. My new film SLIME CITY MASSACRE is making the film festival rounds, and should be available on DVD early next year. And DESPERATE SOULS, second volume in "The Jake Helman Files," the series that began with PERSONAL DEMONS, will be out Oct. 1st.
I've already completed the third volume in the series, COSMIC FORCES, for next year, and will have 2 novels coming out in 2012: Jake Helman #4, TORTURED SPIRITS, and THE FRENZY WAR. I'm also tackling a short novel for Creeping Hemlock Press.
I have a number of appearances coming up. Every year Medallion Press takes me to Rue Morgue's Festival of Fear, part of FanExpoCanada in Toronto, attended by more than 50,000 people. This year is no different, and they'll be handing out 1,500 Limited Edition "ashcans," produced specifically for the event, featuring chapters from DESPERATE SOULS and THE FRENZY WAY. I'm also an official guest at the con for the first time, and I'll be screening SLIME CITY MASSACRE there.
In September, I'll be a guest at Horror Realm in Pittsburgh with Debbie Rochon, who stars in SLIME CITY MASSACRE (along with Kealan Patrick Burke, who has already collected a "Best Actor" Award at the PollyGrind Film Festival in Las Vegas) and we'll be screening the film there. That same month, scream queen Brooke Lewis will be screening the film at The B Movie Celebration in Franklyn, Indiana, where she'll collect her Golden Cob Award for Best Scream Queen for her work in the film. There's a chance I'lll be at Horrorfind.
In October, Debbie and I will be guests at the Eerie Horror Film Festival in Erie, PA, where we'll be screening the film. Also in October, my character "Johnny Gruesome" will be a featured character at the Frightworld Screampark here in Buffalo, and I'm launching a new horror film festival, BUFFALO SCREAMS.
And I'm anxiously awaiting the new season of DEXTER!
