Oh, I totally forgot: the wife and I are also reading HORNS (yeah, together -- how nerdy is that?). Lovin' it so far . . . .

I'll be very interested James in knowing how you and the Mrs. feel about the ending.
The only time I've ever read a book at the same time as my significant other was the Potter books...because those are the only books Joel has ever really read as an adult.

Count me in as one who loved THE STRAIN too. I didn't expect to like it anywhere *near* as much as I did!
Cool book -- I'll definitely be reading the whole trilogy.

In the middle of BLACK WINGS, edited by S.T. Joshi, and I must say, I have been underwhelmed with the selections thus far. Even with Laird Barron's tale!? I understand people simply love his work, but for some reason, I cannot get into his fiction. And I love T.E.D. Klein's work, to whom Barron has been compared!?

Reading Blue Dragon by Kylie Chan, an Aussie author who writes within the Chinese pantheon of Shen (spirits/gods). It's the third in a trilogy, nothing like Twilight *shudder* but should appeal to fans (and haters) of that awful example of necrophilia vs. bestiality... Demons galore...
