At the moment, two in the morning, I'm moving right along with a novella length story called 'Not Quite Right.' ;D

Finished my current WIP yesterday, a 100K novel that almost killed me.
I'm going to give myself the weekend off and start some shorter works on Monday.

I'm currently finishing up my new novel, UGLY AS SIN. It's a tale I'm calling "white-trash noir," the story of a professional wrestler whose life is changed forever when he's kidnapped and tortured by 2 psychotic fans who think his "heel" character is real. But then things get even weirder once he's called back to his hometown by the daughter he barely knows . . . .
Also working on a really nasty post-apocalyptic novella that's sorta a cross between CHILDREN OF THE CORN and 28 DAYS LATER (then again, not really, because it's not about what you might automatically envision when you hear such a description) . . . .

What I'm Writing? Here goes...
Finished a 45000 word novel(la) last week.
------------------------------ After putting that one aside to 'bake' a little (thanks, Brett McBean, for that term), I started a new one that'll likely end up around the eighty or ninety thousand word mark, an ultra-violent crime novel set in Melbourne, Australia and centred around a savage underworld war for control of the city's drug trade. Over 6000 words in so far.
------------------------------ Also 3500 words into a vampire story set here in Australia (in a tiny town in the outback, this time), targeting an anthology due out next year.
------------------------------ On top of that I am collaborating on two different projects; a zombie collaborative effort involving 19 authors, as well as a bizarro/horror novel with a US author/ screenwriter; one chapter each, back and forth until it's finished.
------------------------------ At the same time, I'm starting an eight week long intensive fiction writing workshop this Monday with Stoker nominated author Jeremy Shipp. It is described thus:
This fun, intensive 8-week course is perfect for writers who want to hone their craft and polish their work for publication. Through writing exercises, lectures, and feedback from your instructor and fellow classmates, you will grow as an author and refine your own unique voice and style. After you finish the course, your muse will thank you with dinner and a movie
------------------------------ I guess you could say I'm a little busy...
Add on trying to keep my blog busy enough to keep people's attention, using reviews, free fiction and just genuinely funny shit I come across on the web.
I also network with other writers on facebook (primarily) and am a member and/or moderator of at least five different facebook groups and internet forums.
I try to twitter, but at least my blog is linked to it for the post headlines, else I'd have no Twitter presence at all. I often forget it completely for weeks at a time. ------------------------------ On top of this I provide full-time care for my elderly, frail mother... (which is what gives me the freedom to write)

i just finished a 23,000 word ghost story Good stuff. Be interesting to read novella length from you. The Damned started out as a novella, but somebody told me to keep on going... Sideshow was also going to be a novella... believe it or not, with DRPs 214 pgs, it's still over 75,000 words in length... the novella I just wrote was supposed to be a novel... go figure really looking forward to what people will think of the novella

I've always said the story dictates its length, not the writer.
I unfortunately have really slowed down my writing this past week (after a really productive period) due to some really hellacious work conditions and hours, but what I'm currently working on is a story called "Table of Contents" about an anthology where all the writers who contributed to it are being killed off in the order in which their stories appear. A lot of actual writers--some from this very board--have agreed to let me use them as character who get offed. Our own Tom Moran is the editor of the fictional anthology, and sort of the main character.
